State Department Report on Current Antisemitism

The State Department has released a strong report on the rise of global antisemitism. I have not yet read the report in its entirety [it's 94 pages long] but news reports suggest that it is pretty grim.

"but news reports suggest that it is pretty grim."

And what is the reason for this resurgence of anti-Jewish hatred? I know why, but it's considered "Islamophobic" by the politically correct to say so, as though prudence is now a form of unreasonable fear.

And you can no longer use the phrase "anti-Semitism", Prof. Lipstadt, as Islam's agonists make claim that hatred of the Muslim and his religion is also a form of "anti-Semitism"-- thereby transmogrifying the original meaning of "anti-Semitism", as though anti-Jewish hatred is not so peculiar or phenomenal after all.

Page 5, the Department of State's report says that "in Venezuela, President Hugo Chavez has publicly demonized Israel and utilized stereotypes about Jewish financial influence and control", which contradicts the view by "The Forward" that "both the AJCommittee and the American Jewish Congress seconded the Venezuelan community’s view that Chavez’s comments were not aimed at Jews" : http://www.forward.com/articles/1874/
